Doğan Holding Honorary Chairman Aydın Doğan has called for a language of peace, particularly from journalists, to contribute to a process initiated by the government and the jailed leader of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) to end Turkey’s Kurdish problem.

“Recently, some significant developments regarding the solution of the Kurdish problem have occurred. Since our primary duty is to observe the process objectively and interpret independently, following a high degree of responsibility in our broadcasting policy is our mission for our country’s interests as well,” Doğan said in a letter published yesterday. “In that sense, we must refrain from clashing approaches and pay strict attention to protect the language of peace. We must act having regard for the perception we create with our words.”

That means he admits that Dogan Holding media was not using a proper language on the Kurdish issue before. Nevertheess, it is a very constructive change. Let's hope that it will be a permanent policy .Congratulations ! Mr.Dogan.
