A man was attacked and beaten in Bolu while he was shopping for bread, allegedly because he was carrying beer bottles, Doğan news agency has reported.

Two unidentified suspects attacked 59-year-old Mehmet Ak in a supermarket while he was shopping, asking him why he was buying bread while holding beer bottles in his hand. The attackers fled the scene after Ak collapsed, unconscious.

Ak remains hospitalized.

There seems to a lot of jumping to conclusions here. There could have been any number of provocations, on either side. The story lacks any real information.

@illawarrior hill , what do you mean by if the bottles were full or empty ? if empty why should he carry the bottles after drinking the beer , if full he do not deserve the beating , both arguments go against those who suspects who attacked and they must be pinished

Why didn't you added in the end of the news "thats because of AKP or The Cemaat"? :))) I assure you the reason is not Beer… Most probably this just a ordinary disagreement but the way you reported is not ethical:)

The religious leaders (any religion) should come out and teach their followers that food and drink has little to do with spirituality and love for God who ever he or she is. Since the opposite is done then they should be held accountable. This is the only way to stop the madness of manipulating people to believe that if they do not drink or eat this and that they will go to paradise even if they kill or beat people up.
