Atatürk tops Turkey's most viewed Wikipedia articles

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Go and Facebook topped the list of Turkey's most viewed articles on Turkish Wikipedia over the past year, according to Johan Gunnarsson, a Swedish software agent.
 
Ottoman figure Hürrem Sultan followed closely in spot number four.
 
Google, the Illuminati, Cristiano Ronaldo and a “list of Ottoman rulers” were also in the top 10.

Hit TV series "Muhteşem Yüzyil" (Magnificent Century) have increased the popularity of Ottoman Empire figures and events since its start several years back.

The popular TV show follows the lives of the Ottoman ruler Süleyman and his love, Hürrem Sultan. The show focuses on Süleyman’s personal and palace life, portraying characters from the harem as well as from the royal family.
