Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian accused Turkey for not being neutral in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, Armenian media reports said yesterday.

“20 years ago when Armenia was not against Turkish participation in the Minsk Group some countries hoped that Turkey would be objective and will assist settling the Nagorno Karabakh issue. But as the 20 years showed Turkey is not objective and also damaged the Nagorno-Karabakh issue’s settlement process, ” Times.am news website cited Nalbandyan as saying. Speaking at recent clashes along the border with Azerbaijan where the lives of soldiers from both sides were claimed, Nalbandian accused Turkey of “making racist statements.”

“[A] Turkish announcement [that] accorded they are troubled with the Azerbaijani victims has racist character. We have never heard from them to be troubled with the Armenian victims which Azerbaijani provocation causes,” said Nalbandyan speaking at a at a joint press conference with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) Chairman-in-Office Eamon Gilmore on June 12. “When the international society condemns the bloody events and calls on a stop of the use of force Turkish announcements cause new provocations by Azerbaijan,” he said. Turkey and Armenia currently have no diplomatic relations, as Ankara closed its border with the country in 1993 because of its war with Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh.

It is absolutely remarkable how much hate you guys show towards the Armenian people and yet Murat you keep blaming the Armenians for helping other Armenians in karabagh while the Azeris where murdering Armenians during the conflict. Yes Armenia won that war and if you ask me they where kind enough not to march straight in to Baku. What dose the Azeris whant with karabagh ? All that oil and they still whant a tiny are populated with Armenia

the arminians and greek cypriots are the same lieing people who twist all the facts of everything and cause other countries problems with their lies. They now have a giant problem with their lies and swindles, they have no real friends, their borders are closed and they have a low standard of living.

@ Murat: you say--"You do not go and grab a large chunk of a neighbor's country, ethn ically cleanse it and then demand "equal and fair" treatment. Ball is in their court." Does that same logic then apply to Cyprus?

Murat, not sure if you are Azeri or Turkish, but if you are Turkish why not be more neutral, why not have more of a balanced approach. Understood that Azeris are your kins, but even a brother has the obligation to tell his brother that he is wrong! Why should our children who are there to protect our boarders be killed, what is the purpose of this at this moment? Why not try to have other prospective than just the usual, let's kill all Armenians? Is this how you want the world the see Turks?

German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, has said: “Don’t tell me about the enemy’s wishes, tell me about its abilities.”. The fact remains Azeris have ZERO chance of getting Karabagh back or starting war again. Oil is to precious for the WEST to let a small country like Azerbeijan or Armenia for that matter to prevent them form the Oil flow.

Wow Murat, a Turk concerned over people getting killed, where were you when Turks and Azeris were killing Armenians. Once again selective memory... or obstruction of the truth. Karabagh was never part of independent Azerbaijan...please go back to the history books!

"Artsakh/Karabagh was never part of Azerbeijan. It WAS an autonomous oblast...", like Istanbul WAS the capital of Byzans, like Kudus WAS once an Ottoman city, like Ephesus WAS once a Greek city... Armenians violated internationally recognized borders of a UN charter state. Not surprising for these people to constantly confuse REAL facts with mythology and even more confused about what millenium they live in. How many Azeris were killed and ethncially cleansed there?

Artsakh/Karabagh was never part of Azerbeijan. It was an autonomous oblast during the Soviets with a majority of Armenian population who voted for full independence democratically.Lying & twisting truth will get you nowhere.

Is it news to him that Azeris are a close ally and even kins of Turks? You do not go and grab a large chunk of a neighbor's country, ethn ically cleanse it and then demand "equal and fair" treatment. Ball is in their court.

It's funny how some Turks see Armenia and Armenians as small, week and defenceless and others see Armenia and Armenians as this powerful lobbying machine that can make a difference in a country like France and USA. I guess human memory has a strange way of working, right Joe?
