Armed Forces find no explosive matter on downed jet's surface

The Turkish Armed Forces has found no trace of an explosive material on the surface of the wreckage of a downed Turkish jet that was hauled up from the seabed off the coast of Syria."The Turkish Armed Forces found no petroleum-like residue or trace of any organic or inorganic explosive matter on the surface of the pieces from the downed jet that were taken from the sea surface," it said.
Capt. Gökhan Ertan and Maj. Lt. Hasan Hüseyin Aksoy were in command of the RF4-E reconnaissance jet when it was shot down by Syria 13 nautical miles off the Syrian coast in international airspace.
