An anti-prostitution group in Ukraine has attacked a Turkish citizen who had called for a prostitute by phone.

The group, known as Defacto, went and attacked the man at his address after he called a fake phone number for prostitutes that had been left by the group in a public place.

Defacto, which fights against sex tourism in Ukraine, forced the unidentified Turkish man to wander around streets in Kyiv in a bathrobe with a placard saying “Stop Sex Tourism” on it.

The group posted video footage of the incident on the Internet, stressing that they wanted to prevent a growth of sex tourism in the country.

The Turkish man has not filed a complaint, but police have reportedly launched an investigation into the video footage.

@dogan kemal ileri.."A well known safety valve? Are you serious?. These are human beings that we are talking about, not animals or objects, or pieces of machinery. You want to legalise the degradation of women to provide "safety valves" for sex starved men?. Do you think this is their career choice? Would it not be better to improve educational opportunities so they can do something else? Would you wish your sister, mother, daughter to choose a career as a "safety valve"? Women are people too!

Perhaps MS SAHIN would like to hire these guys to come and work for her in Turkey. I think the bathrobe, poster, public humiliation trick would be a great way to get men to stop marrying young girls or beating their wives. Just imagine a guy who decided to smack his wife around being caught by these guys and paraded around his neighborhood wearing a bathrobe and a poster that said -Wife beater on the front. This would stop that kindof abuse asap.

I wish they had done more to discourage, I have a few ideas but appropriate for print. What a loser. Turkey is the major gateway for sex trade in the region, why cant our pious leaders adress this before they ban drinking beer!

Nice job Defacto !! CAN YOU ALSO KIDNAP THE THOUSANDS OF YOUR UKRAINIAN PROSTITUTES IN TURKEY, BACK TO UKRAINE? THEY ARE A REAL THREAT TO THE TURKISH SOCIETY AND TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH !!! For the Turkish man i want to say, there are more Ukrainian prostitutes in Istanbul than there is in Lviv, so if you need that bad, no need to go abroad.

I hope there is a law in the country to prosecute the two men as their faces are clearly visible. I assume the Turk had not broken the law in Ukraine

Prostitution should be legalised and state controlled because it serves a very useful function and is a well known safety valve. Then this unfortunate Turkish tourist wont need to frequent shady organisations or get caught with his pants down.n any case I hate vigilanty groups who operate and take the law into their own hands for any reason.

LOL Ukranians trying to stop sex tourism ? First, stop exporting your prostitutes to our country, than worry about people having sex in your own country. As if ANY Turk who wants to visit an Ukranian prostitute needs to go to Ukraine ..

İ wish the general public everywhere would do this. The world would be a better place. Forget the nationalities, prostitution is a problem all over the world.
