Ankara to host major energy congress

The Turkish capital of Ankara will host the 7th International Energy Congress and Fair between Nov. 24 and 25.

Renewable energy, oil and natural gas, as well as new projects, regulation and financing energy are all topics that will be discussed during the congress that has been organized by the Ankara-based Global Energy Association.

Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yıldız will join the opening session and ministers from many countries, including Russia, Qatar, the U.S., the U.K., Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, India, Turkmenistan, Kenya, Mozambique, China, South Korea, Iraq and Japan.

Representatives from the ministry, the Turkish Parliament, nongovernmental organizations and sector professionals will also be attending the event.

The National Boron Research Institute will offer a “Boron Seminar,” and the Ankara Trade Chamber will organize an “Unlicensed Electricity Symposium,” which will focus on incentives for renewable energy production.
