Turkish police detain Greek national at border

A Greek national who illegally crossed into Turkey was detained on Feb. 12 in a restricted military area on the border with Greece, according to police sources.

Arda border post officers arrested M.A., 50, at the first degree restricted area in the village of Bosnaköy.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in Greece for murder, then was released on condition of judicial control, the suspect said during his inquiry.

He was handed to the provincial migration authority to be returned to his country.
