Goethe Intitute to screen German films

Goethe Institute Istanbul will screen a selection from German films made over the last two years in a program running at 7 p.m. every Thursday until the end of March.The program’s first film will be “David Wants to Fly” by young director David Sieveking, will be shown on Feb. 16. In the documentary, filmmaker Sieveking participates in an expensive meditation training course, is given a personal mantra, and tries his best to fly like a yogi.
In Alexander Adolph’s film “I’ve Never Been Happier” on Feb. 23, the audiences will see the adventures of an impostor.
Other films in the program will be Adreas Veiel’s “If Not Us, who?” on March 1; Feo Aaladağ’s “Separation” on March 8 and Nick Baker-Monteys’ “The man Who Jumps Cars” on March 15; and Ulrich Köhler’s “Sleeping Sickness” on March 22.
Films will be screened with Turkish subtitles and entry is free.
