E-trade is supporting cargo business, says Kurt, chief executive of MNG.
Turkish cargo firms continue to benefit from a growing e-trade market, which reached a volume of $10.6 billion last year, according to the top executive of MNG Cargo.
“Turkey’s e-trade is growing at a great pace giving Turkish cargo companies a good chance for growth,” the company’s chief executive, Aslan Kurt, said at a press meeting in Istanbul.
According to Kurt, Turkey’s e-trade sector will reach $10.6 billion by the end of the year, having risen from $250 million in 2006. “Nearly 10 percent of this sum goes to Turkish cargo firms,” he added.
Due to Turkey’s increasing export and growing e-trade markets, Kurt said there was a need to increase the country’s capacity by shifting from being extremely labor intensive to relying more on fully automated machines
