Air India plane lands at Istanbul airport due to toilet breakdown An Air India plane flying from New York to Mumbai was forced to land at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport on Aug. 1 due to a breakdown in its toilet system.

The toilet system of the Boeing 777-model plane broke down while it was in Turkish airspace. The pilot decided to land at Atatürk Airport due to the breakdown after receiving necessary permissions. The plane successfully landed at the airport at around 10:30 a.m.

The plane later departed for Mumbai at 12:55 p.m. after the technical problems in its toilet system were resolved.
