Agthia acquires water firm

Abu Dhabi-based Agthia Group has purchased the Turkish spring water company Pelit Su, according to a press release by the group.

The transaction is expected to close during the first half of 2012 and the group will take control of Pelit Su on Jan. 1, 2012. The acquisition includes 23,000 square meters of land, which houses the existing manufacturing plant and housing three bottling lines in the southern province of Adana.

This acquisition will expand Agthia’s bottled water business footprint beyond the United Arab Emirates and provided with direct access to a natural spring water source.
