Agriculture, food firms eye business in Tripoli

‘There is a high investment potential in Libya,’ says Suleiman Abu Harruba, the Libyan agriculture minister.

Turkish firms have shown great interest in the ongoing “Libya International Agriculture and Marine Fishery Exhibition” in the Libyan capital city of Tripoli, an exhibition which serves as another sign of the normalization of the restructuring country.

A total of 51 Turkish companies are taking part in the fair.

Libya found the attendance of the Turkish companies important in terms of the uplifting and improvement of the agriculture and food industry in the country and invited all related Turkish companies to invest, according to the Libyan Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries Minister Suleiman Abu Harruba.

“We need experienced businessmen and a workforce that uses advanced technology. We are looking forward to welcoming Turkish investments. There is a high investment potential in Libya,” Libyan minister told the Anatolia news agency yesterday.

Libyan Economy Minister Ahmed Salem Al-Koshli and Turkish Ambassador in Tripoli Ali Kemal Aydın also attended the opening ceremony of the fair, which ends on May 10.
