African village named Turkiye

Residents of Transalya village in the African state of Burkina Faso changed the village name to “Turkiye” after a Turkish relief association’s aid during the last three Eid al-Adha, or Feast of the Sacrifice, holidays.

“Meat obtained from animals sacrificed is sent to those in need of food in all corners of the world,” Kimse Yok Mu relief association said. “The residents of Transalya village changed the name of their village to ‘Turkiye’ after our association’s help,” it said.
