AccorHotels, Rixos Hotels announce strategic partnership

AccorHotels, Rixos Hotels announce strategic partnership France’s AccorHotels and Turkey’s Rixos Hotels signed a strategic partnership deal to expand mainly in the luxury segment, Reuters reported March 6. 

Under a long-term joint venture, both parties said they intended to collaborate, develop and manage Rixos-branded resorts and hotels around the world, according to statements from the companies. 

Upon closing, both groups will own a 50 percent interest in the joint venture management company. 

AccorHotels will integrate 15 iconic hotels located in premium resort markets in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Russia and Europe into its network as part of the deal.

Rixos plans to run its five city hotels under an AccordHotels brand, according to the report. 

Antalya-based Rixos Hotels has 16 resort hotels in Turkey, the UAE, Egypt, Russia and Europe, and is set to soon add new investments to its portfolio in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Maldives. 

AccorHotels runs more than 4,000 hotels and other addresses around the world, according to the report.
