Turkish riot police have fired tear gas and water cannon to disperse hundreds of protesters who gathered outside daily Zaman on March 5, a day after it was seized in a violent raid due to alleged ties to a “terror organization” aiming to topple the government led by U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen. "The free press cannot be silenced," the protesters shouted.
