A former shepherd from the eastern province of Malatya, 56-year-old Bayram Kozat, has tried to return to his old ways by becoming a professional dog-walker – after working for 21 years at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Kozat says he has always wondered about whether he could return to being a shepherd, but he is happy just taking care of dogs. “These dogs listen to me just like my herd used to,” Kozat told Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency.
