It's April 1, but this is no April Fool's Day joke... Energy Minister Taner Yıldız has claimed that the powercuts that occurred in 40 cities across Turkey as the votes were being counted right after the local elections on March 30 were caused by a cat. "I'm not joking, my friends. A cat entered a power distribution unit. It was the cause of the blackout [in Ankara] and it’s not the first time that it has happened,' Yıldız said.
