LOCAL > 13 militants killed in southern Turkey

ISTANBUL

Some 13 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were killed in an operation launched in the southern province of Osmaniye on Dec. 3, Doğan news agency has reported.

Five militants were also captured in the same operation which was conducted in the Amanos Mountains to prevent militants from preparing for winter.

Numerous weapons, hand grenades, explosives, food and essential materials for winter were also seized.
